Preparations Underway for March 2017

Plans are well under way for the North Central Ohio (NCO) District, Church of the Nazarene Work and Witness (W&W) trip to Hawaii. Connie Sharrock hosted a team meeting in December to update and orient the team for this project that will take place from March 1-17, 2017.

We will be working at the Wahiawa Community Church (WCC) and Mission Station. This church regularly feeds over 100 homeless people as well as serving the community through The Harvest Family Ministry. Our 15 member W&W team will work for two weeks on a variety of projects including remodeling a kitchen, three bathrooms, the sanctuary floor, and electrical upgrades around the facility.

If you would like to follow the team and progress on this project, please follow or bookmark this blog and check back for daily updates during the project from March 1-17. Our team and WCC would appreciate your prayers for our final preparations of these next two months. Please pray for the WCC staff and congregation as they minister in various ways to the people of Oahu in the name of Jesus. And please pray that our team will be able to come along side the WCC family and provide support, encouragement, labor and love to help them continue and expand the vital ministries they provide to their community.

We look forward to working with Rev. John Miller, his staff, and congregation in March. You can learn more about the church and the pastoral staff at Wahiawa Community Church and WCC on Facebook.
