Thirty Percent Off Thursdsay

Lots more progress was made today at the WCC. After breakfast and devotions we headed to our various projects around the property. We made great progress on the kiosk today and tonight. We ran out of materials this afternoon and several of us went back into Honolulu to the Home Depot for more supplies to build it. Thank the Lord for big savings again today. We saved 30% today on a large purchase. We've saved nearly $900 this week with the discounts The Home Depot has given us towards this project. We got back in time for supper and then went back to work this evening after dark to get everything done on the kiosk except for installing the door and roof. We should have the kiosk finished tomorrow.

As you can tell from the pictures below, there was a great deal of activity today. More window trim got painted. The pastor's new office was organized. More landscaping was completed. More chairs in the sanctuary got floor protectors installed. More wiring and light fixtures were installed. More work was done in the parsonage as well, including helping the pastor's daughter reorganize and redecorate her room.

We ate well again today as usual. The special treat today was that State Representative Marcus Oshira came back by this morning and delivered a turkey. So tonight was like thanksgiving, with turkey and dressing, mash potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, and pecan pie. We are truly blessed to be so well taken care of as we seek to help the Wahiawa community. Tomorrow we plan to spend part of the day helping clean up the grounds in an area where homeless live here in town. As I mentioned a couple days ago, the homeless are everywhere and today we saw more homeless people on our trip into Honolulu for supplies. It is a daunting problem here and we hope to help the WCC as much as we can while we are here so they can have a big impact for the kingdom of God in helping the most needy people on Oahu for years to come.
